Help and quick guide

Follow these four steps the first time you open Grok Video Studio. They cover the shortest path from install to publish and pair each stage with the relevant app view.

Install and launch

  1. Download the latest Windows or macOS build from the section above.
  2. If you run from source, install Python 3.11+, add ffmpeg to PATH, then install requirements.txt.
  3. Start the app and keep the main dashboard open for the rest of the workflow.

Add your keys and defaults

  1. Open the Model/API Settings area.
  2. Add the services you plan to use: GROK_API_KEY, OPENAI_API_KEY, SEEDANCE_API_KEY, and optional Ollama settings.
  3. Save social upload credentials for YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, or Instagram before publishing.

Generate and polish your clips

  1. Enter your concept, style, and duration in the left panel.
  2. Choose a prompt source such as Grok, OpenAI, or Ollama and pick a video provider.
  3. Generate variants, review them in Generated Videos, then stitch clips with crossfade, interpolation, upscale, GPU encode, or music mix as needed.

Publish to social platforms

  1. Select your final clip or exported video.
  2. Open the upload tab for YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, or Instagram.
  3. Choose Upload via API for direct integrations or Automate in Browser for the browser workflow.
  4. For Automation Chrome, click Start Automation Chrome, then Connect CDP before running the posting flow.
